first bath at home

Joseph didn't know what to think of his first sponge bath at home. Michael was right there, helping with the baby shampoo. What a good big brother he is becoming.

These were taken at the beginning of last season. Molly's cousin Ryan Suter is now a junior at USC in the school of film. He is also on the marching band and he gets us seats from time to time for games. This game last year was tons of fun. Pictured here is Molly with Brother Ben and Molly's Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Walt, (Ryan's parents) and also Molly's Brother Ben and his Wife Raquel. Go USC !!!

Michael Phelps ?!?

Our Michael has been getting swim lessons from his Daddy since he was 3 months old. This past summer, he learned to swim about 10 feet while getting his breath and reaching the side and then climbing out. He abolutely loves the water!

After watching the summer Olympics, our little Michael Phelps has been working on his start dive. He even does a backstroke start and floats on his back. When the swimming was over and we were watching track and gymnastics, he kept asking 'Where is Michael Phelps?' I guess he thinks Michael Phelps does every sport, not just swimming.

David and Molly

Not my favorite picture of us, but we'll take it. Life is busy with a little one and we rarely turn the camera around. This was at our neighbor's wedding at the end of May.

Our Ruby Girl

Meet Ruby, our Red Doberman puppy. She is 8 months now and almost full size. Michael and her are inseperable. They play so much that it's like having 2 kids wrestling and 'rolling'. She is so gentle with him and we love her. Michael loves to be right next to her and she doesn't understand why he can go on the couch, but she can't.

First Big Boy Haircut

This was Michael's first professional haircut. I know, he's 3 and maybe it should have been sooner, but I was doing little trims here and there and finally broke down. He was much better with a stranger cutting his hair than with me and she did a good job. The bribe of candy helped too!!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

I guess we do look alike after all. I remember thinking people were crazy when they said I looked like my Mom. What a compliment to look like her, she is too cute!

Have to go Pee Pee

I don't know if I need to write much here. The picture explains it all, I think. Grandma Peggy didn't like that I caught this, but isn't it funny?

Boating with Grandpa Rich

During our visit to Illinois last may, we had the treat of boating with Grandpa Rich and Grandma Peggy. I had so many childhood memories come back of us as a family boating on any body of water that had fish in it. Michael loved it and he still asks when can we go on the boat with Grandpa Rich??

Michael was so excited to go on the big airplane this past May to visit his Grandma Paggy and Grandpa Rich. He wouldn't go without wearing his Buzz Lightyear shirt, which he completely wore out on the trip. Here is one of his I know I'm cute smiles. What a big boy- He turned 3 this day!!

Beach Trip with the Hooks Family

Taken August 5th, 2008 on a beach trip with our friends, the Hooks. Michael had so much fun with these older brothers. They look after him and teach him big boy things. The waves were pretty intense that day to swim, but the boys had fun exploring shells and sea glass in the sand and building sand castles. We are so thankful for our friends.
