Getting there...

Our backyard was really bad when we moved in. Dead lawn that was so smelly that we had to throw it away, literally. After the hard work was over we had 2 sheds that were both way to short for either Dave or I to go in. We decided to raise the better shed by building a wall all around. Thus making the Tall Man Shed. I still wonder if there is glare from the reflection to our neighbors.. But it is really nice to have some walk in storage. We also placed dg (decomposed granite) all around making paths where we needed and splitting up the yard into different areas. These pictures are mostly before we added plants from different rare plant sales around. I'll have to get some more recent pictures up soon!

Boys being Boys

Boys being boys!! I think I got these last fews shots when they were being so quiet and then SCREAMING!! I went to see what they were up to. Look at the faces in the hall.. We're not making messes, Mom!!

Let's go ride a BIKE!!

Ok, so this was last New Year's and I'm a little behind, but I love to see how they have grown!! Michael learned in 2 days how to ride without the training wheels. We went to the University of Redlands, which is a few blocks away and took over their big sidewalk on New Year's Day!! So much fun! Look at little Joe!!

Christmas Letter

Today I find myself printing our Christmas letter and including our blog for people to follow. But, I am reminded that I haven't posted for awhile, last January - Yikes!! Maybe it is time to share more of what has been going on in our lives!!

Michael is 5 and in Kindergarten. He loves legos, star wars, Veggietales, video games, riding his bike, jumping on the trampoline, having friends over, being silly, hiding, playing tag, and playing tricks!! He laughs before his joke plays out and from this, I think has his Mom's sense of humor. He is growing up way too fast, but is also maturing into a young man before my eyes. He has a heart to help me and others and loves the Lord!!

Joseph is my quiet one and he is into making messes on a big and grand scale! He comes in for his attack usually after his big brother has left a project out and he creates his own art right on top of Michael's work. I have sent many homework assignment back to his teacher with a note - little brother got to this page... I think Michael's teacher would believe him if he told her his brother destroyed his homework!

Ruby, our doberman is turning out to be a great family dog. She always has been, but her puppy energy has subsided a little and she is getting tha hang of just hanging out with us. Betty, our 8 year old cat is finicky as ever and makes you wonder why people have cats to begin with. I know, I know... But we have a new cat, Penny because she looks like a penguin, and she is so sweet. She evn puts up with Joe trying to carry her everywhere and put things on her back.

David has been so blessed by his job and his other employment opportunities. He continues to work for the County of Riverside, but also took on a teaching job at a junior college this past year. He also continues to work for the state Land Surveyor's exam. We have been blessed financially to be able to have me stay home full time and while there are cutbacks in the extras, we are finding what truly matters is family time!!

A verse to close with that has been a great verse to live by this last year is: "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33

Love to you!!
Molly
